GitHub launches an Indian subsidiary to boost its developer community

In this post, I’m going to tell you big news for Indian developer On 12-02-2020 General Manager of GitHub India Maneesh Sharma has announced the official launch of GitHub in India (GitHub India Private Limited). Because India is the third-largest number of active developers on GitHub. The company said that Indian developers are truly building the future of software.

Over the past year, the number of public repositories in India has grown by 75 percent. GitHub hosts the open-source version control system Git that was started by Linus Torvald, who also created the operating system Linux.

What is GitHub

This is the simple definition of GitHub.  GitHub is a Git repository hosting service, but it adds many of its own features. While Git is a command line tool, GitHub provides a Web-based graphical interface. It also provides access control and several collaboration features, such as a wikis and basic task management tools for every project.

As the third-largest group of active developers on GitHub, Indian developers are truly building the future of software. Over the past year, the number of public repositories in India has grown 75 percent, demonstrating a sharp increase in collaboration across the Indian developer community.
